Every year especially in April, the Antelope Valley hotels in California experience welcoming hundreds of visitors and travelers who go to Lancaster to celebrate the California Poppy Festival.
Celebrated as a part of the Earth Day Celebration, the California Festival features the bloom of its state flower and offers visitors a spectacle of fun, arts and performances by the local residents. Every year, different performances and activities are done during the celebration since the locals thought of the way to entice travelers who used to pass by the place just to see the sight of the beautiful poppy buds and flowers covering the hillsides as if welcoming the spring.
The 2009 Poppy Festival also featured entertainment in four dazzling stages. The stages namely the Poppy Stage, the Primerose Stage, the Lupine Stage and the International Stage offered guests and spectators various entertainments such as dances, musicians and singers’ performances and magical acts. Activities also involving animals such as birds and exotic animal shows are also featured. These four stages are not the only ones to visit when you decide to go to Lancaster for the festival.
